Trailing then-No. 7 Ole Miss 17-3 early in the second quarter, LSU outscored their opponent 42-3 the rest of the way, cruising to a 45-20 victory. The win propelled the Tigers to No. 20 in this week’s USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll, their first ranking of the season. Ole Miss drops five places to No. 12.
