[FCS POLL] Weber State Completes Hail Mary To Stay At No. 2 In AFCA FCS Coaches’ Top 25

With two seconds left on the clock and sitting on the 50-yard line, Weber State’s Randall Johnson hit Justin Malone in the endzone for a miracle 28-23 win over Northern Arizona. The win kept the Wildcats undefeated and at No. 2 in the AFCA FCS Coaches’ Spring Top 25 Poll. Weber State doesn’t have long to enjoy the win as they travel to Southern Utah on Saturday.

After a three-week layoff, No. 1 James Madison knocked off the rust and soundly beat William & Mary, 38-10. The Dukes will face their stiffest competition yet as they travel to No. 15 Richmond on Saturday.
The biggest game of the season so far pits the third and fourth-ranked teams as bitter rivals North Dakota State and South Dakota State face off in Fargo. The winner will have a leg up on who wins the Missouri Valley Football Conference title.
There are two other Top 25 matchups this coming weekend with one being another important MVFC game. No. 6 North Dakota plays host to newly ranked and No. 23 Missouri State. Both of these teams, along with North Dakota State and South Dakota State, sit with 4-1 conference marks. The final matchup is for second place in the Big Sky Conference as No. 9 Eastern Washington travels to No. 14 UC Davis.
