[FCS Poll] Montana Dominates In Top 4 Showdown Versus Weber State

In one of the biggest games in the history of Washington-Grizzly Stadium, the Montana Grizzlies left no doubt. Fueled by big plays and a dominant defense, Montana rolled to a 35-16 victory against then-No. 3 Weber State in a battle of the Big Sky’s top two teams. The win is the 250th in Big Sky history for the Grizzlies, who finish the regular season a perfect 6-0 at home. Weber State dropped 4 spots to No. 7 while Montana rose one spot to No. 3 in Week 12 of the AFCA FCS Coaches’ Top 25 Poll.

North Dakota State received all 26 first-place votes for the 12th straight week in 2019 and remains the No. 1 team in the nation. James Madison’s decisive victory over Richmond by a score of 48-6 was more than enough to keep them at No. 2. Sacramento State checks into the Top 5 for the first time in 2019 following a 31-7 victory over Idaho. The No. 4 Hornets are joined by South Dakota State, who is back in the Top 5 following a one-week hiatus.

Week 13 will feature a trio of Top 25 matchups. North Dakota State will look to finish the regular season at 12-0 as the Bison travel to No. 25t Southern Illinois while Montana gets to test their No. 3 ranking against in-state rival and No. 8-ranked Montana State. The final matchup has No. 23 Nicholls traveling to No. 22 Southeastern Louisiana to round out the regular season.
