[FCS Poll] Fourth Quarter Touchdown Lifts Princeton Over Dartmouth

Princeton scored with only 6:33 left in regulation proved to be enough as then-No. 14 Princeton defeated then-No. 20t Dartmouth, 14-9. The Tigers’ victory helped them rise to a season-high No. 11 ranking in this week’s AFCA FCS Coaches’ Top 25 Poll. The Big Green dropped three spots to No. 23 and will look to bounce back next week against Cornell.

Following their ninth-straight victory, No. 1 North Dakota State gathered all 26 first-place votes for the eighth time this season. Kennesaw State remains at No. 2 following a 49-0 shutout of Campbell. Eastern Washington, Weber State and Elon all move up one spot apiece and round out the Top 5.

There are three newcomers to this week’s Top 25. No. 21 Maine is back in the Top 25 for the first time since Week 7 following a 35-28 upset of then-No. 15 Towson. Following an upset of their own, Northern Iowa checks in at No. 24 after a 26-16 victory over then-No. 13 Illinois State. Joining them for the first time in 2018 is Idaho State. The Bengals check in at No. 25 and will look to make it three wins in a row this week against Cal Poly.
