This week on Inside the Headset, we are featuring Trinity University’s Assistant head coach, and the AFCA’s D3 Assistant Coach of the Year, Coach Paul Michalak. Coach Michalak talks about both his and his family’s football journey, shares what it is like recruiting at a non-scholarship, high academic performance university, and gives us insight into the advanced technology used to run Trinity’s camps.
Coach Paul Michalak is entering his 14th season at Trinity University, where he serves as the assistant head coach, defensive coordinator, camp coordinator, and linebackers coach. In 2021 coach Michalak was named he AFCA’S Division 3 Assistant Coach of the Year. The Trinity Tigers have experienced a great deal of success due to Coach Michalak’s defense.
Prior to coaching at Trinity Coach Michalak was a GA and then the defensive line coach at Carthage College in Wisconsin. Coach Michalak also played at Carthage and was a member of their 2004 Championship team.
